Hi Ashley! So good to see you last night! Happy Birthday :) Hope you have a great time celebrating! If you ever wanna try out Girl & the Goat or any other restos, let me know! I'd love to! Take care, Tria
Thanks, Tria! My birthday was great =) Dinner was fun, I will let you know when I’m planning a night out at Girl and the Goat for sure. We can always plan things to do until then! Let me know if you need to just get out of the house and I’d love to meet your little girl!
the hardest period in life is one’s 20s. it’s a shame because you’re your most gorgeous and you’re physically in peak condition. but it’s actually when you’re most insecure and full of self-doubt. when you don’t know what’s going to happen, it’s frightening.
and while i am on the food topic, again… I would like to share with you today’s spread from Whole Foods:
Having Whole Foods only a block away is VERY dangerous. It’s almost as if I have a farmer’s market to go to every day and come home with fresh and fun produce.. yes, fun. On the left we had 2 bunches of spinach for 3 dollars (this shall go in my salads and green smoothies), very cute baby carrots that I didn’t showcase in the picture enough… a variety of amazing grass packets to try in my green smoothies… also not showcased enough: colorful cherry tomatoes (to use in another sauce perhaps?)… raspberries that were on sale, seedless cucumbers, yummy corn and a raw chocolate granola, containing sprouted seeds and other goods.
do you think i like food?? =) off to make a smoothie!
Substituted fresh lemon juice for the vinegar (i used 2 1/2 lemons)
Added some fresh, finely chopped garlic (one clove)…
Bottled it up in an empty dressing bottle (which had been Giada’s amazing Tuscan Balsamic Vinaigrette, found at Target!)
And poured some on this:
So so so so good! I was really excited to make this, maybe a little too excited, but there are so many ways to change this recipe.. add cheese, use balsamic vinegar, add fruit! Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Oh, and I really like that I was able to reuse an empty bottle!
